Scholarships
The charity is looking to provide “deserving” students of the community with scholarship money to help w/ tuition, books, etc. We truly believe that those kids who are willing and have put in the hard work to attend college should indeed be given the opportunity regardless of their economic background.
Gabe Cannon was selected for a scholarship award from GoodPeopleDJ as he is a shining example of the true student/athlete definition. Gabe is a 2-sport state champion in both wrestling & football. Every person you meet thinks so highly of this kid and his tenacious/never giving up mentality. After personally meeting Gabe, it was even more impressive to experience that all of the superlatives about him were true.
Gabe shines just as much if not more in the classroom which is evident by the fact Gabe had the maturity to make the decision to hang up his athletic cape so that he can solely focus on his academics moving forward at the University of Delaware. He will be studying Pre-Med at UofD with the goal of going to John Hopkins Medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon. Once it’s all said and done his plan is to return & work in lower Delaware so that he can give back to his community. We are more than honored and grateful that our donors generosity allows GoodPeopleDJ to help Gabe with his journey.
Food Drives
Our belief is that our community members should not have to go without proper nourishment regardless of their situation. The “Good People” charity strives to help as many in need as we can but can only do it w/ the assistance from other “Good People”.
